FAQ
Common questions.
Straight answers about training with Dave — in Las Vegas, online, or through the app.
Who is Dave Vaughan?
David "Dave" Vaughan is a Las Vegas personal trainer with more than 25 years of coaching experience and 3,000+ clients, and the founder of Forget The Gym. He holds a B.S. in Exercise Science and the NSCA CSCS certification, and has coached touring artists including Imagine Dragons. He is the only coach at Forget The Gym — private clients train with Dave himself.
Is there a personal trainer who will come to my house in Las Vegas?
Yes. Dave is a mobile, in-home personal trainer. He travels throughout Las Vegas, Summerlin and Henderson and trains clients at clients' homes, condo and high-rise fitness centers, private residential gyms, garages and patios, and other appropriate private locations.
What areas of Las Vegas does Dave cover?
The Las Vegas valley, including Summerlin, The Ridges, Queensridge, Red Rock Country Club, Henderson, MacDonald Highlands, Anthem, Seven Hills, Green Valley, Lake Las Vegas, Southern Highlands, Mountain's Edge and Centennial Hills.
Do I need equipment at home?
No. Dave brings a mobile setup — bands, dumbbells, kettlebells and mobility tools. If you have a home gym or a building fitness center, he programs around what's there.
What kinds of private training does Dave offer?
Private one-on-one training in your home or building, private studio sessions, and hybrid coaching that combines in-person Las Vegas sessions with remote programming and check-ins between visits.
Who does Dave usually work with?
Busy professionals and executives, adults in their 40s, 50s and 60s, people returning to training after a long break or an injury, and clients who would rather not train in a crowded gym. He also coaches athletes and touring performers.
Can Dave work around injuries or health conditions?
Yes. Dave has experience training clients through injuries, pregnancy, post-rehab, and chronic conditions. He builds the plan around what your body can do today, not a generic template. Coaching is not medical advice.
What does private training in Las Vegas cost?
It depends on how often you train, where sessions happen and how much programming support you want. Private sessions are typically around $175 each, and private coaching starts with a $500 onboarding deposit applied to your first month. The consultation is free, and Dave confirms exact pricing on that call.
What happens during the free consultation?
You'll answer three quick questions, pick a 15-minute phone slot, and talk with Dave about your goals, schedule, location and what kind of coaching makes sense. There's no sales pitch — if it's not a fit, he'll say so.
What is Executive Fitness?
Executive Fitness is schedule-first private training for executives in Las Vegas — in-home or on-site — at $249 every four weeks plus sessions.
Do I have to live in Las Vegas to work with Dave?
No. Dave offers online coaching and the Play By Dave app for people anywhere. Private in-person training is available in Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin, and surrounding areas.
What is Play By Dave?
Play By Dave is Dave's coaching app: a daily workout built for your equipment, schedule and progress, plus nutrition guidance and messaging. Seven days free with no card, then $9.99 per month.
